• Shared code utility/module: src/
• Experiment/demo notebook: notebooks/ (or assignment-local notebooks/)
• External clone/vendor code: external/
• Static references/slides: stochastic_refs/ or slides/

Cleanliness Rules

• Keep generated artifacts out of the tree: __pycache__/, .pyc, .DS_Store, notebook checkpoints.
• Keep execution-heavy experiments in notebooks, not importable modules.
• Do not move or renumber assignment folders.
• Do not mix local experiments into external/.
